 Ceremony to Announce the Decision to Recognize the Director of National Economics University

Hanoi, August 3, 2025

National Economics University solemnly held the Ceremony to announce the Decision to recognize the University Director at 9:30 a.m., Monday, August 4, 2025 at Hall A2, National Economics University, No. 207 Giai Phong Street, Bach Mai Ward, Hanoi City.

At the ceremony, representatives of the Ministry of Education and Training will present the Decision to recognize Associate Professor, Dr. Bui Huy Nhuong as the Director of the National Economics University. This is an important event, marking the transition of the leadership generation and opening a new development phase for the National Economics University . The appointment of a new Director is an opportunity for the University to continue to affirm its strategic vision, innovation, knowledge transfer and commitment to serving the development of the country.

Associate Professor, Dr. Bui Huy Nhuong was born in 1973, is a former student of the 32nd class of Economics at the National Economics University; graduated with a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Boise University, USA in 1997, and successfully defended his doctoral thesis in Economics at the National Economics University in 2007. He was awarded the title of Associate Professor in 2011 and was awarded the title of Excellent Teacher by the State in 2020. He is currently a senior lecturer at the School.

Before being appointed as the Director of the National Economics University, Associate Professor, Dr. Bui Huy Nhuong held the position of Deputy Director in charge of all undergraduate and postgraduate training; management of advanced, high-quality programs and POHE; testing and education quality assurance; university accreditation and ranking and communication work, etc.

With more than 30 years of association with the National Economics University since he was a student, Associate Professor, Dr. Bui Huy Nhuong has successively held the positions of lecturer; Secretary of the Youth Union of the Faculty of Economics and International Business; Deputy Director of the International Business Consulting and Training Center; Chief of Office of the Management Board of Advanced, High-Quality Training Programs and POHE; Director of the Center/Director of the Institute of Advanced, High-Quality Training and POHE; Head of the Organization – Personnel Department; Vice Rector/Vice Director of the National Economics University.

The appointment of Associate Professor, Dr. Bui Huy Nhuong as Director of the National Economics University not only demonstrates the trust of the Party Committee, the University Council and the staff and lecturers in a teacher with passion, experience and management capacity, but also affirms the University’s determination to continue to innovate the university governance model, carry out comprehensive digital transformation, improve the quality of training, scientific research and international integration.

With a strategic vision and a deep understanding of the University’s operations, Associate Professor Dr. Bui Huy Nhuong is expected to continue the good tradition, inspire the spirit of innovation, connect collective strength to create breakthrough developments, bringing the National Economics University into a new stage of development towards the goal of becoming a smart university, among the top 5 universities in Vietnam, and striving to become the Top 100 best universities in Asia, with a high ranking in the World Rankings./.
