1. Mission

As a national key university, the leading university in economics, management and business administration in the university system of Vietnam. The National Economics University has the mission of providing society with high-quality training, scientific research, consulting, application and technology transfer products, with brands and reputations, reaching regional and international standards in the fields of economics, management and business administration, contributing significantly to the cause of industrialization and modernization of the country in the context of world economic integration.

2. Vision
National Economics University strives to develop into a research-oriented university, a prestigious multidisciplinary university, achieving regional and international quality in the fields of economics, management, business administration and a number of other key fields. Striving in the coming decades, the school is ranked among the top 1000 universities in the world.

II. School development goals to 2020

General objective : Maintain, promote and affirm the position of a national key school, a leading school in the country’s university education system, develop the National Economics University into a multidisciplinary university in economics, management and business administration, reaching regional and international standards to serve the cause of industrialization and modernization of the country, effectively serving the needs of rapid and sustainable development of the Vietnamese economy and society.
Specific goals by 2020:
Ensure comprehensive improvement of training quality, standardization of teaching and service staff; create breakthroughs in training quality in a number of key industries and majors, meeting regional and international standards to ensure dissemination and serve as a basis for comprehensive improvement of training system quality.
Expand, develop and affirm its position as a leading and prestigious center for scientific research and economic and business administration consulting in Vietnam.
Develop cooperative relationships, closely link and enhance the role of training, research and consulting in the network of universities providing training in economics and business administration, in the higher education system, research institutes, and enterprises in Vietnam; expand effective cooperative exchange relationships with universities, research institutes and international organizations in the region and the world. Expanding influence and constantly enhancing the school’s prestigious image at home and abroad.
Strive to become a modern university with full facilities and advanced equipment, a training and basic research environment that meets regional standards with a qualified lecture hall system, a modern library system and a system of high-quality services.
